The truth of the statement that "man's extremity is God's opportunity" was proved to me a number of years ago. When my need was greatest, God's help was realized as ever present to free me. Physical suffering, doubt, fear, anxiety, unhappiness, and lackadaisical thinking were exchanged for health, confidence, spiritual happiness, and a sincere desire to study the Science of being which teaches clear and correct thinking about God and His spiritual universe.

I am grateful that through the daily study and practical application of this truth I am learning to walk with my Father-Mother God, proving that "in proportion as mortals approximate the understanding of Christian Science, they take hold of harmony, and material incumbrance disappears" (No and Yes, p. 38). Step by step the way unfolded whereby I became a member of a branch church and The Mother Church, and had class instruction. I thank God, the Giver of every good and perfect gift, for all the activities of the Christian Science movement; especially for the Reading Rooms and The Christian Science Monitor. This daily newspaper, promoting clean journalism, is bringing a message of good will to mankind.

I am grateful to a consecrated and loving practitioner for healings of spinal trouble, influenza, ptomaine poisoning, and melancholia.
