In the thirtieth chapter of Proverbs we read, "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." The feeding of the Israelites with manna in the desert is a significant proof that God provides all needful things for His people; that whatever the environment, however desolate the outlook may be to material sense, God never forsakes those who trust in Him, but gives freely of His good gifts to satisfy all human needs.
