In your issue of yesterday a bishop is reported to have said in reference to Christian Science, "To neglect what God has given us and then to pray to Him to help us in our sickness is blasphemy."
Christian Science is founded upon the Bible, and Christian Scientists are striving to understand and to practice the teaching of their beloved Master—Christ Jesus—who also was accused of blasphemy. He healed by his God-given understanding of spiritual law, and without recourse to material means.
The fact that Christian Science is healing many conditions pronounced incurable by medical science, and reforming many sinners, is sufficient proof to Christian Scientists that from both the medical and the religious viewpoint they are beginning to know and understand the truth about God and man which Christ Jesus said should make men free.
