An Open Door

Behold! an open door!
Arise and make thy way
Into the paradise which fond and false belief
Had barred.
'Tis Truth provides the key;
And in that secret place
Of sweet communion with Love
Thou art secure.
For Principle thy keeper is, and God
Provides for thee an everlasting shield,
As Science stands,
With gleaming sword in hand,
To keep the way of understanding.
Thou art free
To enter and to stay
Protected evermore, beloved of God.
Behold! an open door
To paradise and ever opening glades
Of promise and of opportunity
To serve, to heal, and, safe in Love, unselfed,
The poison-dart of malice shall pass by,
Nor injure thee, nor thine!
Arise, O man, an angel smites thy thigh!
Behold! an open door!
