Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Utah.

A newly appointed editor of one of the largest dailies in the state appeared to be strongly biased against Christian Science and the Monitor. Therefore, at every opportunity the Committee provided him with marked copies of this newspaper. Persistence in drawing items of interest to his attention finally resulted in his subscribing for the Monitor. He became highly complimentary regarding our paper and later stated that he had dropped some other important subscriptions, because the Monitor largely supplied him with the information he needed.

Previous to taking the Monitor, he continually found himself smothered in a hurried thought causing him mental distress. He now methodically does much of his editorial composition at home with his wife, where both of them study carefully the editorial page of the Monitor daily. He frankly admitted our paper to be most helpful to him with his editorials.
