Christian Science came into my experience in 1915 when my parents took it up, for healing but as a religion. Since that time it has been my only method of healing, financially, mentally, and physically; and at no time during these years has there been the slightest desire for, or faith in, anything but Christian Science. One thing of which I am positively convinced is that Christian Science, when correctly applied, heals instantly, completely, and permanently.

I am grateful for class instruction from a student of our Leader's; for membership in The Mother Church; also membership and service in a branch church, and for the help received from practitioners.

My healings have been many; some have come about with the help of practitioners, some from reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and others from my own application of Christian Science. When a very small child I was compelled to put on glasses for astigmatism and muscle shortage, both said to be inherited; therefore not the slightest hope of my ever being able to go without them was offered. I had the best medical attention, but as a child I was held in the fear of bad results if I did not wear the glasses constantly. When they were taken off I could not go one hour without headaches so severe that I would have to go to bed. Also my eyes were abnormally small in size.
