As a witness to Truth as explained in Christian Science...
As a witness to Truth as explained in Christian Science I wish to give this testimony. Twenty-two years ago Christian Science came to us in the hour of our greatest mental, physical, and financial need. My father had just passed on very suddenly, my sister was in a depressed mental state, my mother and I were semi-invalids, and we were all filled with fear. Christian Science first taught us that man is spiritual and that his real qualities, such as love, unselfishness, and faith, can never die. My sister was healed of a nervous breakdown, and my mother and I were greatly helped and strengthened. Our whole outlook on life changed. My first healing was an instantaneous one of a functional trouble which was the result of Roman fever, and which had grown worse under the care of a celebrated physician. Every financial need has been met in a miraculous manner, and we have constant proof of the loving provision of our Father-Mother God.
It has been a privilege to see the activity of Christian Science in the various countries of Europe in which we have lived, and the way in which the "leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal," is leavening the thought of the whole world.
I am profoundly grateful to Christ Jesus and those who are following him in deed, pointing the path and helping us in the way.—(Miss) LaVergne Edmond, Paris, France.
