OH, Thou almighty power above,
Who rulest us alone with love,
Thou, now and ever, be our guide,
Thy wisdom sure, all good betide;
May we no error, sin, or pain
Accept, or falsely entertain;
No sorrow, gloom, or sudden fear
Be near us while sojourning here;
May Thy dear love keep sin away,
And lighten for us every day.
