Some years ago I asked the minister of an orthodox church of which I was a member how it was that a God of love could permit so much sickness in the world, especially among little children, and why no attempt was seriously made to carry out Jesus' very definite instructions to preach the gospel and heal the sick. His answer was not satisfactory; and consequently it was a great joy to me when some time later I found a group, consisting largely of apparently intelligent and educated people, giving convincing testimony that they had been healed of all kinds of diseases through Christian Science.
