As I read the testimonies in the periodicals I feel more grateful every day for Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder; and I can think of no better way to express my gratitude than to give my testimony.

Eleven years ago, when my husband began to work for a man who was interested in Christian Science, some other employees were interested as well, which afforded my husband many opportunities to discuss this religion. I had heard of Christian Scientists and thought them to be people who, like myself, had diseases and discords, but who claimed that they did not have them; but when my husband told me various logical points about Christian Science I began to think differently. After about three months of this I was invited by a friend to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. I do not remember anything that was read from the desk, but the testimonies were wonderful; and I never doubted one of them. Everyone who testified that evening had been healed of something of which I needed to be healed. I walked away from that church wonderfully uplifted. The next morning at the breakfast table my husband asked me if I were going to keep an appointment with the doctor. I said: "No. If Christian Science can do what it has done for those people it can do the same for me." I was so confident that without any hesitancy I canceled the appointment and disposed of all my medicine. I had been on a diet for over a year, but decided to eat the same kind of food I prepared for my husband. This all took place on Thursday, the day after the meeting; and that night I slept better than I had for years.

Science and Health was purchased and I started reading. In about two weeks I noticed I had not been using my glasses. When I was about fifteen years old a specialist had told my father that I should never be able to go without them; but now I found that I was completely healed. In those first two weeks I was also healed of chronic constipation, fallen arches, weakness from a surgical operation that I had had years before, severe pains in my back and side, and some other minor conditions. As far back as I could remember I had never been free a day from aches and pains; but these two weeks were a proof to me that Christian Science could heal me. Periodic headaches returned to their native nothingness. I can never be grateful enough to God for this one demonstration. Bilious attacks, indigestion, and liver trouble also completely disappeared.
