With a thankful heart I wish to tell of a wonderful healing which I experienced. My husband and I were riding on a gravel road after rain, and when a back tire of the automobile pulled away from the rim the car skidded, turned over twice, and went down an embankment. When I realized that we were falling I declared, "There are no accidents in God's kingdom." When my husband asked me if I was all right, I answered in the affirmative, but when we had left the car it was found that two severe wounds had been made in my head, frightening my husband, who is not a Christian Scientist. I told him to go to a farmhouse and telephone for assistance and not to be afraid for me, for God was my Life and nothing could happen to me.
We were taken to a small town three miles distant and were divinely led to a private home, where loving service and care were given. I soon became aware that some internal organs were misplaced; and I was struggling for breath. I asked for a Christian Science practitioner, but there was none within ten miles. I lost consciousness for a time, and when I regained it a physician had been called to ascertain the extent of the injuries, which he said were a slight concussion of the brain, a torn cartilage from under the heart, causing a slow, weakened heart action; and, also, he said the internal organs of the right side were misplaced. He further said that I could not be moved for from twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Immediately my husband called a practitioner in our home town, over two hundred miles away, and treatment was at once given. After about twelve hours I asked to be lifted up, as I could not lift myself or turn on either side. As my husband lifted me, every organ went back into place and I could breathe as well as ever.
This was indeed a wonderful demonstration, because all the false laws the doctor had pronounced, had been nullified. The following morning I arose and dressed, went out with the family, ate my breakfast, and started for home, a drive of seven hours. At the end of the eighth day after the accident I realized my entire freedom.
