Scientific Restitution

How shall we give back to humanity that of which it seems to have been robbed, namely, an example of noble manhood and womanhood, including a wise and tender guidance of those intrusted to our care? Such have been the thoughts of many mortals weighed down with a sense of remorse and self-condemnation at the remembrance of lost opportunities.

Those opportunities in the past of which we failed to avail ourselves must not be permitted to dishearten us, for today is full of glorious promise. To the earnest student of Christian Science, embarking on his journey from false material beliefs to the joyous facts of Soul, the present is too precious to be filled with vain regrets. His today, utilized in the service of good, insures for him ever increasing glimpses of spiritual light. This light, gained from Mrs. Eddy's revelation of Truth, which is set forth in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and her other writings, reveals peace, power, and progress.

Not only to those who have truly repented, but to all, there come daily opportunities to make amends for willful or ignorant wrongdoing. To the longing heart which humbly accepts these opportunities, there are also given strength and courage to carry on this great work; for God is righteous, and answers every earnest prayer.
