Paul admonishes us to "rejoice in the Lord," and I do...
Paul admonishes us to "rejoice in the Lord," and I do rejoice each day over what Christian Science has done for me. Like many others, I came to Science for physical healing, after I had exhausted every other means. I was healed of nervous prostration instantaneously. I have also been healed of blood poisoning, sprained ankle, and sick headaches, said to have been inherited, which I endured for twelve years. These attacks were so severe that I would gladly have passed on had I felt that would end the troubled. I have been healed in large measure of fear and anxiety, and also of impatience, for Christian Science is proving to me conclusively that God is omnipotent Love. It is teaching me more and more to look for good everywhere, and to be grateful.
I have been greatly comforted by Isaiah's "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee," as explained in Christian Science. This promise has been fulfilled in my experience, with the loving help of practitioners; it has sustained me through deepest sorrows, and with each experience I have risen higher in spiritual understanding. I am grateful for Truth, as revealed to mankind by our beloved Leader; for our consecrated practitioners; for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church; for the blessed privilege of class instruction, and for every activity of the Christian Science movement.
(Mrs.) Nannie R. Baker, Houston, Texas.
