I am deeply grateful for the good which Christian Science has brought to me and mine. In 1924 a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was lent to me, and the perusal of it soon healed me of the after effects of a difficult bowel operation. I did not then know that there were Christian Scientists in Finland who could have upheld me in my struggle for this new light, and soon I fell back to my old standpoint. It was not long before illness again overcame me, this time in the shape of a severe nervous depression, accompanied by different painful conditions which made me very unhappy. The same day that the doctor told me he could not do anything more for me, and that time only could make me well, I was told that there was a Christian Science practitioner in Helsingfors. I went to her, and before long everything had changed for me through the clearer understanding of divine Love which she brought to me. This is perhaps best shown by the fact that every morning, instead of thinking how I could possibly get through the day, I now felt very happy to have a long, useful day before me.

After about four months I was entirely healed of the use of morphia, which had been the only remedy for the intense pain that followed the operation; and soon I felt free and happy in the consciousness of my glorious inheritance of the freedom which belongs to the children of God.

Besides this healing we have had many evidences of the workings of the truth amongst the members of our family through the loving help of the practitioner. Once I was instantaneously healed of incipient influenza. My two children have been healed of influenza, cough, fever, and angina.
