Divine Harvest

[Original article in French]

One characteristic of the presentation of the teachings of Christian Science is its clear order and system. Questions under consideration are treated categorically, and classifications are exactly determined. Thus, in designating the place whence springs all physical inharmony, Mrs. Eddy writes on page 188 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures": "The soil of disease is mortal mind, and you have an abundant or scanty crop of disease, according to the seedlings of fear. Sin and the fear of disease must be uprooted and cast out." This teaching, reversing theories previously held, was tested by the one who discovered it, and the resultant healings gave proof of its verity.

To detect the lodging in thought of evil seeds is not alone sufficient to destroy them. Secretly implanted in human consciousness, hidden in the shades of ignorance, self-will, and sensualism, the numerous errors and false beliefs cannot—for they have no real intelligence—eradicate themselves. What brings about their annihilation? What sickle must be swung over the infested ground? What sower must scatter instead the good seed whose kind is known by its fruits?

Referring to the glorious activity of Christian Science, and making clear its unity with the teachings of Christ Jesus, our Leader writes (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 252): "It has one God. It demonstrates the divine Principle, rules and practice of the great healer and master of metaphysics, Jesus of Nazareth."
