Signs of the Times

[From the News-Herald, Owenton, Kentucky]

We, all of us, know what is good. "He hath shewed thee, O man." We know the whole philosophy of perfect living is summed up by the great Master in the two commandments, to love God with all our hearts, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. We all know these are the great things demanded of us, and that we owe them to the loving Father, who wants our lives to be joyous.

"To walk humbly with thy God" means for us to do these things required of us, casting aside all selfishness and self-pride. This is a mighty hard thing for us to do. But humility is one of the most prized attributes referred to in the Bible.
