Christian Science came to us over sixteen years ago, and I wish to express gratitude for many proofs of its wonderful healing power. In my own family I have witnessed almost instantaneous healings of burns, crushed fingers, and the recovery of someone seemingly drowned; and extreme cases of influenza, constipation, and hemorrhage have yielded, as well as minor ailments.

Of one healing I should like especially to speak. In October, 1928, while crossing a highway, I was struck by an automobile. I was picked up unconscious by strangers and sent to a hospital. On examination I was found to be terribly bruised and thought to be injured internally, and the scalp was badly torn. There were evidences of concussion of the brain, and the left leg was shown by an X-ray photograph to be badly crushed. The examining physician believed that I should die, but said that if I lived I should always be a cripple. They gave the leg no attention except to tie it in splints.

In my first consciouis moment I asked for a Christian Science practitioner, and from that time on the doctor's many looked-for troubles failed to materialize. On the third day my leg was again X-rayed, after which the doctor declared that there had been a miracle, for the bones, which were first shown to be all jumbled up and even sticking through the flesh, had gone back into place and were growing together.
