Utilization
The revelation of Christian Science is equally available to all, and success in demonstration is measured according to each individual's understanding and practice of its teachings. Spiritual growth and achievement are the reward of promptness and perseverance in utilizing to the full one's advancing understanding of Christian Science. The student's aim is to prove the power of Truth over erroneous belief at every point and in every test, and this power operates without partiality. Progress and proof, then, are the outcome of spiritual vision, fidelity in reversing the deterring arguments of mortal mind, joyful certainty of Truth's victory; and every student of Christian Science is privileged to make successful use of this threefold recipe for dominion.
The command of Christ Jesus that Christians are to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and raise the dead stands for all time, and it speaks eloquently in the emblem on the cover of Christian Science literature. On pages 65 and 66 of "Retrospection and Introspection" Mrs. Eddy writes, "Christianity reveals God as ever-present Truth and Love, to be utilized in healing the sick, in casting out error, in raising the dead."
Christ Jesus utilized the power of God, and his example is the keynote of practical Christianity. Mrs. Eddy recorded and utilized her revelation in healing, in teaching, and in establishing the Cause of Christian Science. All over the world Christian Scientists are waking to recognize and prove that this revelation of Christian Science, its utilization, and its demonstration are indivisible and invincible. The infallibility of divine Principle may be increasingly grasped and demonstrated by students of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, all the world over. When a specific problem appears, it should be hailed as an opportunity to utilize the power of Truth instantly, and to continue this true witnessing until the specific argument seemingly urged by material sense has been silenced by spiritual sense and harmony has been realized. Our understanding grows as we use it.
