It is with sincere gratitude to God and to Christian Science...
It is with sincere gratitude to God and to Christian Science for an instantaneous healing which I received that I give this testimony. Thirteen years ago I was suffering from heart affliction and paralysis; and the doctors gave me but one year to live. In my extremity I consented to see a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly told me that I live, move, and have my being in God, and that God is my Life. My thoughts were so filled with these truths that I walked to town, something I had not done for several years. I could never express the joy and gratitude I felt when I reached home, upon realizing what had been accomplished through my new understanding and placing myself in God's care. I was healed.
I have also been healed of severe headaches, sore throat, and a swollen leg. Some time ago my eyes were beautifully protected from harm when some fireworks exploded in my face, burning off the eyelashes and eyebrows.
I am deeply grateful to our Father-Mother God, whom I have learned to know better through Christian Science. I am grateful for class instruction, and for the opportunity for growth which has come to me as a member of The Mother Church and of a Christian Science Society. Through the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I have been enabled to unlock that blessed Book, the Holy Bible; and with the opening of the door of thought to the Christ, Truth, I have found God, the Giver of all good gifts.
