In your issue of November 1 there appeared an article entitled "More About Christian Science," containing many statements which are misleading. The writer states that Christian Science is a peril to Christianity, to the Christian, and to the non-Christian, giving his personal opinions in support of these statements.
Did not Jesus, the beloved master Christian, furnish the test for all religions and religionists when he said, "By their fruits ye shall know them"? When this test is applied to Christian Science as a religion, there will be found an ever increasing multitude of sincere, intelligent people throughout the world rejoicing in the new and demonstrable understanding of God and of the words and works of the Master which has come to them through the study and application of Christian Science. Christian Scientists gratefully acknowledge the benefits which they receive through their religion, including better and purer lives, better health, greater peace, happiness, and prosperity.
Christ Jesus also said, "He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also." Any well-informed and fair-minded person today will admit the efficacy of Christian Science in healing the sick. There are many thoroughly authenticated cases of the healing of disease of every nature through Christian Science. Christian Scientists everywhere are rejoicing in the restoration to mankind of the Christianity which Jesus the Christ taught and practiced.
