Divine Love

O Love divine,
Thou wonder of eternity,
Thy light thrones high above the heavens;
Thy depths are all-unsearchable;
Thy sacredness doth hush the senses, self-beset;
Thy patience tireth not, nor frowns;
Thy strength lags not, nor is it spent in vain.
In tenderness unspeakable
Thou dost enfold, encompass, all.
Thy watchful care o'erlooketh not
A single one of those who, in forgetting self,
Their all upon Thine altar lay.
This highest blessing Thou bestowest
On them: To love as Thou dost love.
