My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the glorious healing power of Christian Science. Truly "man's extremity is God's opportunity," for in my darkest hour of mental and physical suffering this truth was demonstrated in my life.

I was suffering from a spinal affliction of some years' standing which had been pronounced incurable by a number of recognized orthopedic specialists. This crippled condition was constantly growing worse, and as a result of it many complications were manifesting themselves and thus adding to my misery.

Almost every system medical science has devised was tried to remedy the condition. Various kinds of electric treatments, water treatments, massage, medicines, diet, special corrective exercises, osteopathic treatments, and two operations were tried—not to heal the condition, for the statement was repeatedly made that it could not be healed, but it was hoped that some little relief from the pain might result therefrom. Naturally my mental condition dropped low over the failure of all these remedies to bring even a measure of relief.
