I am very grateful for the realization and joy of ever being in God's presence, and for the many blessings I am witnessing daily and hourly. I have had many proofs of God's care and protection, and know that He never fails us when we put His eternal law into practice in thought, word, and deed, as Jesus taught.

My first healing, the instantaneous cure of indigestion, took place when I was sixteen years of age. While stopping at the home of a Christian Scientist my father asked that the lady give me a treatment for the ailment, and I was healed. This was the beginning of my faith in Christian Science, although I did not understand what had healed me.

Later, when in bondage to many physical ailments, I turned to God, being very conscientious about taking my stand. Although I grasped the truth slowly, nevertheless I began to improve, overcoming quite a number of ailments, one of which was inflammatory rheumatism that started in a severe form but disappeared in one night through my holding to the allness of God.
