Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 332), makes this statement: "Christ is the true idea voicing good, the divine message from God to men speaking to the human consciousness." It was this "message from God" from friends who were "voicing good" in their daily lives at a time when I most needed, not physical healing, but moral uplifting, that brought me into Christian Science, and I am deeply grateful.

I am also grateful to our beloved Leader for giving to the world this divine truth, this law of God. All honor, love, gratitude, and obedience are due this woman, whose spirituality enabled her to comprehend God as Spirit, and to see man as His offspring.

While listening for the first time to a Christian Science lecture I was helped with spinal trouble, when the lecturer made this simple but true statement: "God is not the author of pain or of any inharmonious condition, because God, your creator, is good and only goodness can come out of good." Later, with the help of a practitioner, I realized my completeness and the healing was made permanent.
