From the Field

[From the Annual Report of work at California State Prison, San Quentin, under direction of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, San Francisco, for Churches of Christ, Scientist, San Francisco]

It is with a feeling of gratitude that we submit the following report. The men as well as workers from other departments express an increasing appreciation for the Christian Science activities. The director of the religious department, in addressing the men at a recent meeting, spoke kindly of the Christian Science work in the prison, and padi our Monitor a tribute. It is encouraging to note an increasing attendance at the Sunday service.

The two lectures given during the year were a great help in promoting the interest in Christian Science. Many of the men had never attended a lecture, and in some instances had never heard of Christian Science before entering the institution.
