My first healing in Christian Science was of tubercular...
My first healing in Christian Science was of tubercular glands. I had had two operations and was no better. The doctors said they could do nothing for me but to keep on operating. I was healed by reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scritpures" by Mary Baker Eddy.
After that healing I took up the study of Christian Science and have had many other beautiful healings, including the healing of a bad case of erysipeals in a week, a very stubborn skin disease, inflamed eyes, and sprained ankles. I was also healed of neuritis in my arm. I let this error creep upon me until I found myself unable to move my arm. I had to sit up in a chair all night; the pain was severe, and the arm was as though paralyzed. a practitioner helped me, and that week I cleared from my thought many old grudges and hatreds and supposed wrongs, and before the week was over I was completely healed. I have also been lifted out of many financial troubles. My daughter, when a small child, was scalded by a pot of boiling liquid which landed on the top of her head and ran down her face. I realized the truth at once, and in a few minutes she stopped screaming and there was no more pain. Within two weeks she was completely healed with no sign of a scar.
I am truly grateful for the physical healings, but I am much more grateful for the spiritual understanding that enables us to know that God is ever present. Each day I realize more and more the great gift that Mrs. Eddy has given to the world. I used to live in fear, and now how grateful I am to have Christian Science with which to work out all my problems. It is the greatest thing in the world to me. I am grateful to God and to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for giving us this blessed truth.
