It was over sixteen years ago that, as a result of the healing of a member of the family, I first attended the Christian Science Sunday School. Since then I have been healed physically and morally, and step by step every human need has been met. There have been trials, but later it was recognized that, as Mrs. Eddy states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care," and thus these experiences have drawn me closer to Him and His kingdom of spiritual ideas.
The following are only a few of the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my experience. My first healing was of pneumonia. For several days I was critically ill, but with the loving help of a practitioner I was able to return to school in two weeks, completely healed. This seemed remarkable to me, as previously, under medical treatment, I had been months recovering from this disease.
When our little daughter was born, through the loving and consecrated work of a practitioner in a distant city I was beautifully cared for, experiencing no pain whatever. The baby arrived about two o'clock in the afternoon, and early in the evening I walked into the adjoining room. Fifteen months later this little girl was instantaneously healed of what appeared to be chicken pox. early one afternoon when she awoke from her nap I found her body covered with spots. Her father and I applied the truths of Christian Science to the best of our understanding, and when the child was undressed that evening there was no sign of any such condition.
