Deep gratitude to God, to Christ Jesus, and also to Mary Baker Eddy, impels me to make use of the wise provision of giving testimoneis and to report some of my healings and experiences.

Almost four years ago, when I took up my duties again after I had had a week's vacation from my work, I found that meantime, in place of a former colleague a substitute had been engaged. This proved to be a great blessing for me, for this man was a Christian Scientist. I soon became friendly with him, and on one occasion told him of my misfortunes and physical ills. From him, however, I heard no commiseration; on the contrary, he told me a great deal about divine Truth and Love and recommended my regular attendance at the Christian Science services and Wednesday evening testimony meetings, and the unconditional taking up of the study of the Bible and the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, as well as other Christian Science literature. He said I could be freed from errors of every kind through this Science.

I immediately followed all that he had said, and the results wonderful. I was suffering from ulcer of the stomach that had plagued me for years and had rendered me incapable of working during a long period; because of it I had also been in the hospital. Through Christian Science I was completely healed. Furthermore, I was freed from the claims of even when I was a child had brought me punishment, and later suffering also. In the same way sleepwalking disappeared. It had been a very bad case. My parents had to fasten the window together at night, and in spite of this they very often had to fetch me from the balcony. Various kinds of vices, such as smoking and gambling, were laid aside through reliance on Christian Science. Things which had formerly upset my pose if I so much as saw them do not disturb me now at all. More and more I see the powerlessness of those things.
