I have had many occasions to be thankful for Christian Science
I have had many occasions to be thankful for Christian Science. I was healed of a very severe case of infantile paralysis. This disease came on when I was about four years old. The family physician was called, but he gave me up, saying that I should never be able to walk. At this time, although my parents knew nothing of Christian Science, they decided to try it. They sent for a practitioner, who came immediately. When I went to sleep that evening all pain had left me and it never returned.
I had another healing some time ago. I was sewing a garment for myself at the high school, and was not paying attention to the machine. but was talking to another girl, when all of a sudden my foot slipped on the treadle when I was taking my garment from under the needle, which came down on my finger and went through. The rest of the class and the teacher were all alarmed. The teacher was going to take me to the doctor, when another teacher came along and took the needle out of my finger. Before I knew what I was doing I found myself declaring the truth. In two days that finger was perfectly healed, to my great joy.
I am grateful for the Sunday school. It teaches children to look to God in all their needs. I am glad I am a Christian Scientist because I have learned that in reality there is no discord or error which we cannot conquer through Truth.
