The gracious references to Christian Science in an article in your issue of December 4 are appreciated. However, the article mentioned may have given some of your readers a mistaken impression of the method of Christian Science. Therefore, please let me state that Christian Scientists accept fully the teachings and works of Christ Jesus, and heal sickness and sin by the spiritual method that he practiced. In her book "Unity of Good" (p. 9) Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says, "Jesus has made the way plain,—so plain that all are without excuse who walk not in it; but this way is not the path of physical science, human philosophy, or mystic psychology."
