Because my heart overflows with gratitude for Christian Science, I am taking this opportunity to tell what it has done for me. Many years of physical and mental suffering, aggravated by anxiety regarding finances, had gone by before I learned to know God's goodness, love, protection, and tender care of all. For a long time neurasthenia, ulcers of the stomach, chronic colic, insomnia, open varicose veins, and other ailments troubled me. My husband also was ill, our business was not prospering, and I was very much discouraged.

It was when I felt at the end of my tether, without any hope of emerging from such a situation, that an acquaintance spoke to me of Mrs. Eddy's marvelous discovery. I no longer believed in God, yet the very day that I was told about Christian Science I wrote to a practitioner. She replied immediately, and with so much love that I regained courage and went to her office. After one treatment and some explanations about Christian Science, I left her office healed. That night I slept once again like a happy, care-free child. The neurasthenia tried to reappear, but thanks to the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, the diligent study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and the precious help of the practitioner, I have been completely freed from all these difficulties.

I joyfully try each day to understand and to do God's will. Every day I appreciate more the Lord's Prayer and its spiritual interpretation, as given to us by Mrs. Eddy (Science and Health, pp. 16, 17). I am happy to know something of the omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience of Love.
