Lecturer: Ralph B. Scholfield; introduced by Miss Magda Carolina Hellstrom, who said:—

Christian Science gives us correct knowledge of God and man, and of their oneness. In bidding you welcome I have called you friends. The import of the word "friend" is deep and sacred. Our Master used it in addressing his disciples when he pointed out them their union with him in their mutal knowledge of his Father and their Father, which he had imparted to them. Through this lecture we shall in our turn gain some insight into this same knowledge, and so become better able to express within ourselves the kingdom of heaven, which Jesus said could be entered even while we were here on earth.
