It is with a feeling of deep gratitude to Mary Baker Eddy, and a sincere wish that my testimony may help someone who is in the same difficulty, that I am sending it. About twenty years ago my husband fell and broke his back. After four months in bed, he was given up by several doctors. After we had tried all material help, we turned to Christian Science. We secured the services of a practitioner in a near-by town, with the result that at the end of three weeks' treatment he was able to get about and soon resumed his regular work.

At that time we knew very little of Christian Science, and after the healing we did not use it, as we should have done, although we did send our children to a Christian Science Sunday School, which we thought was sufficient proof that we believed in it. However, about four years ago my husband suffered a stroke of paralysis. He was completely paralyzed and unable even to speak so that we could understand him. Once more we turned to Christian Science, and with the help of a loving practitioner the healing was accomplished in about eight months.

To say that we are grateful would be putting it mildly. We have had many lesser healings, but these two stand out to us. We are now members of The Mother Church and a branch church, and my husband takes an active part in all church affairs. We have learned our lesson, and we live only to serve in a small way, to repay our heavenly Father for the love He has given us; and we are so grateful for His care during these trials.
