I first heard of Christian Science when I was working for...
I first heard of Christian Science when I was working for a lady who was a Christian Scientist. I knew at once that she had something which I did not have, for at that time I was very miserable in my home life and was beginning to think there was no good in anything. Then I lost a brother who was very dear to me. This lady told me about Christian Science and about God's love and care. She lent me some books on Christian Science and was very patient with me. It was a long time before I could understand that to "know the truth" would make one free from sorrows and troubles and give an understanding of God which would make one's life happy. I wonder now how I lived without Christian Science, without Truth and Love to help me every day in what I do.
I have had many healings by knowing the truth and have been helped in many ways in my work. Some time ago I had a wonderful healing. In reaching over to get something I put my knee out of joint and the pain was very severe; but in a very short time the pain was gone and I could go on with my work. Two days later I cycled thirteen miles and found nothing the matter with my knee.
I am most grateful for all the help I have received from reading Mrs. Eddy's works, for the happy life I live, and for knowing that God's love and care for all mankind are always present.—(Mrs.) Sarah Ann Prior, East Hanney, nr. Wantage, Berkshire, England.
