More Light, Dear God!

Teach me to know the pure in heart
See God; that man does not depend on mortal breath
For life, but perfect in His likeness, set apart,
Can never know the enemy called death,
Since God is Life.

Lead me to find the open door
Of Truth, that I may enter into harmony
And joy; loosed from false claims of mortal
sense—yes, more!
Proving the bliss of immortality,
Since God is Truth.

Help me in gratitude to live
And love, patient and kindly toward another's fear
Or doubt. Abundance lies in knowing how to give,
Lifting our thought to heaven, now and here,
Since God is Love.
