It is a great joy to be able to testify to the healing power of Christian Science.

One of my early experiences was the healing of a growth in my breast, which was steadily increasing in size. After an earnest reading of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for several weeks, the growth entirely disappeared. Since then many wonderful proofs of God's protecting care have come to me. I had always held a great sense of fear in regard to blood poisoning and so, as Job said, "the thing which I greatly feared" came upon me. After the fear was conquered the healing came, and that condition now brings no sense of fear, as I have since proved when going through another similar experience.

One evening I was stricken desperately ill. How I reached the telephone and called the practitioner I never knew. Although I was unable to talk to her, she heard enough to recognize my voice before the telephone dropped to the floor and I fell across a chair. In less than five minutes I was completely healed. I had indeed received a sign that God is present and ever at work. I realized that as He had helped me through that experience, so He would guide me through others, but that I must have greater trust. The words of a well-known hymn came to me,
