Lecturer: Dr. Hendrik Jan de Lange; introduced by Mrs. Marguerite D. Pawley, who said:—

More than nineteen hundred years ago Christ Jesus, the master Christian, proved to a waiting world what a pure, spiritual understanding of God, of God's love and God's laws, would do to free mankind from every afflictive and limiting condition. Before he finished his unsurpassed ministry he assured his followers that he would not leave them comfortless; but that he would send a Comforter, who would proceed from the Father, and would abide with men forever. He described this Comforter as the "Spirit of truth," which would testify of Jesus, and bring to remembrance all that he had taught. The world would not recognize this "Spirit of truth." but Jesus' true followers would understand it, because it would dwell in them and would guide them into all truth.
