Since I came into Christian Science, about seven years ago, the "newness of life" promised in the Scriptures has become increasingly manifest. Science found me when help was greatly needed, both physically and mentally, and it has met my every need.

I have been healed instantaneously of dyspepsia of several years' standing, and of an attack of appendicitis in two hours' time. Both healings came after reading our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, when I was enabled to turn to our Father-Mother God with confidence. I have also been healed of an attack of bronchitis, of neuralgia, of deep-seated belief in catarrh, each by one treatment from a practitioner, one by a practitioner I never saw. I am particularly grateful for this last-mentioned healing because it proved to me the scientific nature of our Leader's revelation.

These physical healings have led to a wider understanding of Spirit, so that fear and anxiety to a very satisfying extent have given place to harmony and understanding. Our textbook, our Leader's other writings, and the periodicals have been the means of opening up the Bible to me, although I had been reading it all my life. The protecting power of Christian Science has been widely demonstrated to me in my business life and in the journeys I have had to make to obtain orders. While on a visit to Germany I was taken ill very suddenly with some disorder and had a high temperature. I went to bed immediately and read the Lesson-Sermon, falling asleep before finishing, to waken in the morning well able to conclude my affairs and continue my journey without interruption.
