It is with a grateful heart that I give this testimony. I had my first healing, which was instantaneous, about twenty-one years ago; and since then I have had many healings and blessings. I have found that when the truth is applied scientifically, with a sincere and honest desire, there is always healing. I am grateful for what Christian Science teaches about God. In the old material thought I believed that God sent sickness on His children, but Christian Science taught me that God is Love.

At the time of my first healing I was under the care of a physician constantly, and also had the services of a specialist for a condition termed partical paralysis of the optic nerve. I was unable to bear any light on my eyes, and part of the time kept the room darkened. I was having help in the home, being unable to do any housework. At this time Christian Science was brought to my attention by a dear neighbor. Upon asking for and receiving an explanation of Christian Science, I was instantaneously healed. I shall never forget the joy of that healing and the freedom I experienced.

I am grateful for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the literature, the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, the church services, the Reading Rooms, and for the many opportunities to serve our Cause and thus help humanity. For all that Christian Science has ever done for me I am truly grateful.
