Having received so much benefit and encouragement from...

Having received so much benefit and encouragement from the testimonies appearing in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel, I wish to take this means of expressing my gratitude for the many blessings received from the study of Christian Science.

Over four years ago, while in one of the national homes for disabled soldiers, I suffered from a nervous breakdown, accompanied by enlargement of the heart and insomnia. Although not confined to bed, I suffered physically and mentally beyond words to describe. Soon afterwards I commenced the study of Christian Science, and with some help from a practitioner and through my own study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and other Christian Science literature, the above-named difficulties were overcome in proportion to my understanding of man's relationship to his creator. Constipation, with which I had been bothered more or less since boyhood, has also been overcome. Hemorrhoids, for which I had undergone two surgical operations without lasting benefit, and many forms of fear have disappeared through my slight understanding of Christian Science. I am very grateful for these healings, for the new happiness that has come into my life, and for all the channels of good that Mrs. Eddy has provided for us.—John Wiens, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
