Confidence

BEATRICE BRADSHAW BROWN

Thank God for His merciful kindness,
Thank God for His wisdom and might;
He saveth from flood and from fire,
He guardeth by night.

He maketh the desert to blossom,
He sendeth the dew and the rain;
He quencheth our thirst and our hunger,
And stilleth our pain.

Our God in the darkness will hear us;
Our cry will ascend to His throne.
Beneath us, above us, and near us,
He keepth His own.

And where is the foe that can sever
The bond that is holding in one,
Maintained in perfection forever,
The Father and Son?
