With a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science I...

With a deep sense of gratitude for Christian Science I desire to acknowledge the many blessings I have received with proofs of God's allness. Nine years ago I was advised by a physician to undergo an operation for what seemed to be a serious internal trouble, the physician stating that without the operation I could not live more than six months. While I was in this state of extreme fear, a great desire came to me to try Christian Science. I was then led to a practitioner, who very lovingly took up the work, pouring into my consciousness words of truth. The Scriptural verse from Hebrews, "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword," was declared, bringing to my thought hope and encouragement. After the third treatment I experienced a beautiful sense of joy and freedom and realized that all pain and fear had disappeared, and I have never had a return of the trouble. Christian Science proved to be the Comforter at the passing on of my husband. Another healing I am most grateful for took place in our home when my mother was healed of a very severe form of influenza.

I am grateful to God, the source of all good, and for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who gave to the world the priceless gift of Christian Science. My gratitude is also extended to the dear practitioner who has so patiently helped me with many problems.
