I have been so blessed by the testimonies that I wish to add to the store of good. In accidents I have proved the power of Truth many times. I struck my eye with great force on the handle of a granite-ware dipper, and it seemed as though the eyeball was crushed. I recalled these words of Mrs. Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 214): "Neither age nor accident can interfere with the senses of Soul, and there are no other real senses." This mastered fear and pain, and in a short time I was able to eat dinner with the family. When my daughter burned her eyeball with an electric curler, Science destroyed the pain and the alarming manifestation in a short time. I fell and dislocated my hip, and though I did not walk at once, recovery was complete through the application of Christian Science. Attacks of dizziness were overcome by the realization of the truth of the statement on page 243 of Science and Health, "The head, heart, lungs, and limbs do not inform us that they are dizzy, diseased, consumptive, or lame." What seemed to be a malignant growth appeared on my face, and it was over a year before I was able to banish it. This healing was helped by the earnest effort to replace resentment and hatred with love, and by the realization of what Mrs. Eddy means where she says (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 8), "Simply count your enemy to be that which defiles, defaces, and dethrones the Christ-image that you should reflect."

I am so thankful for every channel of usefulness in Christian Science. By obedience to our Manual and devotion to Truth, I hope to show my gratitude to our Leader.
