Eleven years ago I was suffering from what a prominent physician called nervous prostration. After an examination, his sentence was that I had a growth in my nose, a goiter, a growth in the womb, and overstimulated heart action. In his opinion, I should never be any better until I had three operations; but I was then in no condition for even one. I had been confined to my bed for about ten days, and was without hope of ever being better, when some friends asked me if I would try Christian Science. Knowing nothing about it, I asked for the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and started to read it about two o'clock in the afternoon. That evening I dressed, and prepared my husband's dinner; and for over four years I did not spend a day in bed because of poor health. In a short time my health was better than it had ever been. I was also healed of constipation, hemorrhages from the nose, hives, tonsillitis, quinsy, and bronchitis. These healings were all brought about by the study of the Christian Science textbook, and they have all been permanent.
I am grateful for class instruction and for membership in The Mother Church and in a Christian Science Society.
(Mrs.) Bertha Jones, Albion, New York.
