Misunderstanding of the teachings of Christian Science...
News-Star
Misunderstanding of the teachings of Christian Science is undoubtedly responsible for a criticism of that religion in your issue of the 23d, appearing in a church notice.
There is nothing mysterious about Christian Science, and there is no justification for referring to it as one of the "cults," in the sense that it is a sort of intellectual fad; nor is it a fact that it has anything in common with Brahmanism, Hinduism, or new-thought. It has already taken its place as one of the great religious of the world, and its healing ministry is amply supported by the New Testament.
Christian Science is a restatement of primitive Christianity, which teaches that there is no other way but the Christway by which we can receive salvation.
