I am very grateful to Christian Science for all the good it has brought to my family. It founds us in a sad condition from the standpoint of circumstances as well as of health. The latter improved rapidly with all of us, but it was only as our understanding of the truth concerning God and man increased that our circumstances began to broaden.
The time came when through divine Love we were placed in larger quarters in our own house. However, it was necessary to transform it from top to bottom. Not having any means to do this, we tore it down and rebuilt it step by step. This work was done by the family, each one helping the other in his capacity, and especially holding to the right thought about the work. It is due to Christian Science, through which we have learned to understand the truth of being, that we have had—one after another—all the materials necessary for its reconstruction.
At the beginning of the year we had already moved in, although the renovation was only started. It was urgent that the work should be continued, but the funds were lacking. As I did not see any solution to this difficult situation, a profound anguish took hold of me. I felt that God alone would be powerful enough to help us. I therefore turned resolutely to our Father-Mother God, placing my burden, my cares, at His feet, and I gave myself up to a feeling of great security. I placed all my confidence in infinite and ever present good, and from that moment I knew that the Father would send us help. It mattered little to me how; I knew He would do it. About two weeks afterwards my husband told me that the necessary money with which to go ahead had been offered us. I could only say to him, "This is a reply from Mind."
