I turned to Christian Science for physical and mental help in a time of great need. I felt sick, discouraged, and helpless. I visited a Christian Science practitioner, and felt a new hope in life when told that God is a God of love, and not a far-off God whom we need fear. One of the instantaneous healings experienced was that of a fallen stomach, for which I had been obliged to wear a support. I have been healed of severe constipation, which I had for many years, and on which finally medicine had no effect; also of the loss of the power to sing, tightened cords in the limbs and neck which prevented me from turning my head. I was a wreck, physically and mentally. I would sit up in a chair all night, afraid to go to bed.

Through Christian Science self-pity, resentment, hate, revenge, despondency, lack, and sorrow have been overcome, and in their place happiness, gratitude, health, and joy are being manifested. I am so grateful for the spiritual understanding I am gaining that man's life is in Spirit, God, and not in matter.

I am grateful to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the revelation of the truth which she has given to us. I am also grateful to the loving practitioner.
