Since the age of fourteen I have seen Christian Science heal both sickness and sin in my own individual experience and in that of those around me. My love for Christian Science and its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, grows daily as I realize that the healing works being done in the world to-day by Christian Scientists are really, as she says, "to attest the reality of the higher mission of the Christ-power to take away the sins of the world" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 150).

As a young girl I was always suffering from constant sore throats, headaches, bilious attacks, and mental depression, which culminated in what the doctors pronounced nervous hysteria, a deplorable condition for a young girl just in high school. They advised that I be taken out of school and sent to a sanatorium away from my home. Having heard of a relative's being healed of tuberculosis through

Christian Science, I decided to try it myself, and, like many others, I received my healing. I then attended the Christian Science Sunday School, for which I can never be grateful enough. The concept of right thinking and living given me there was a constant defense and protection through my years in high school and college.
