It is almost fourteen years since I began the study of Christian Science, and I feel that it is my duty to send in a testimony of the wonderful help I have received, both mentally and physically. When I decided to try Christian Science it was a case of "man's extremity." I was facing the third operation within two years; and as the two previous ones had proved to be unseccessful, I was in doubt about a third one. I knew nothing of the Principle of Christian Science healing; but when it was explained to me by some dear people who had received great benefits from their understanding of it, I was instantaneously healed. I did not realize it at the moment, but as time went on and the pain never returned I knew then that I had been healed. I was lent a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and I studied it faithfully. I have read very little since of anything besides the Bible, the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, and the authorized Christian Science literature.

I have not used medicine in any form since taking up the study of Christian Science; whereas before, I was taking it constantly for four years. I am able to work every day, and the truth has freed me from many discordant conditions. By the faithful help of a loving practitioner I was healed of influenza, which to mortal sense was a very bad case; and whereas before, my supply seemed very limited, I now have sufficient. My husband became interested in Christian Science through my healing; and he was healed of severe headaches, constipation, and the tobacco habit, for which I am most grateful. We have been able, by the understanding we have of the truth, to overcome a great many discordant conditions and so-called minor ailments. I have been healed of a nervous breakdown and a slight stroke of paralysis.

I am more grateful than words can express to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to the loving friends and practitioners who have helped me to understand the truth that makes us free.
