My first healing, from Bright's disease, came about after a few weeks' reading of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. An attending doctor had said that I could not live, and a sister, who knew something about Christian Science, sent me Science and Health. Not being acquainted with anyone who knew anything about Christian Science, I did not know for a few months just why I regained my health. While talking with a practitioner for the first time I realized that I had been healed through reading the Christian Science textbook. Christian Science has been a great help to me with me children. I early learned that they are at-one with God, and are subject only to the divine Mind and not to the so-called laws of matter.

I am most grateful for the Christian Science Hymnal. Many times I have been lifted from a great sense of discouragement by memorizing a hymn. The fourth verse of the one hundredth psalm says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless him name." I am also grateful for the periodicals established by our Leader. Often new views of God have unfolded to me through reading different articles written by faithful workers.

There are many other healings I could tell which have come to me and mine since I started on the road from sense to Soul, and I am glad and happy over the few steps I have taken in the right direction.—(Mrs.) Pauline I. McMurray, South Braintree, Massachusetts.
